Dear faithful Precept leaders,

In Philippians 4:1, we learn that Paul had a deep love for the church in Philippi. He longed to be with them, calling them his joy and crown. Throughout Philippians, we see that Paul didn’t find joy in his circumstances, but he found joy in his fellowship with the church. In chapter one, Paul relates that he found joy in the church because of their participation in the Gospel since the day he met Lydia by the river, cast out the demon from the slave girl, survived an earthquake and saved the life of a jailer who wanted to die due to a prison break (Acts 16:11-40).

This has been an exciting year for Precept Ministries Canada! It would be easy to focus on the disappointment of not travelling the country and having in-person training due to the pandemic, but we, like Paul, find our joy in what God has been doing through you in 2021.

Our team has prayed regularly for you as you have led your students using Precept’s Bible study tools. We have prayed that the Lord would send new students to your classes, that Zoom technology would not overwhelm you and that the power of God’s Word would transform students’ lives.

Our team has also shared in the suffering some of our leaders have experienced. We have been praying for leaders fighting through cancer, loss of loved ones, flooding, struggles with the pandemic, and so much more.

As a ministry, we find our joy in hearing how God’s Word has sustained you through the pleasant and challenging circumstances of life.  We are encouraged to hear how God is working in and through you!

Thank you for being faithful to your calling as a Precept leader; thank you for raising up new leaders and sending them to our leadership workshops. Precept witnessed the Lord raise up more than one hundred leaders throughout 2021! And through your Giving Tuesday donations we are set to train at least 90 leaders in 2022! We serve a BIG God!

In 2022 we will continue to focus on ministering to you — our faithful Bible study leaders. We are here to support your ministry through prayer, training, and ensuring you have the resources you need to engage people in relationship with God through knowing His Word.

We hope to see you at our Leader Connect Zoom Meetings throughout 2022. Also, be watching for our Leadership Skills Development and Planning and Leading Effective Discussions workshops planned for 2022. Click here to see upcoming leadership training workshops. If you have students interested in becoming Precept Upon Precept Leaders, we are more than happy to help raise them up and qualify them to lead. #LetsTrainLeaders for God’s Kingdom and glory!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Mark Sheldrake and the Team at Precept Ministries Canada
