Dear friends of the ministry,
Giving Tuesday 2023 is just around the corner! This year, we are asking you to invest in our training workshops. Did you know that Precept Canada offers our training workshops free of charge to the participants?
Our ministry is truly faith-based. We rely heavily on those impacted by Precept across Canada to provide the financial support needed to run our online and
in-person workshops.
So far, in 2023, Precept has trained 232 new leaders, 28 of whom have gone through our Precept Upon Precept course for new leaders. We have trained 204 new leaders to lead our D4Y (for children), LORD, New Inductive, 40-Minute Study Series.
God continues to open doors for new training opportunities in local churches across Canada. This year, with in-person workshops, we saw a 58% increase in the number of people trained while running eight fewer workshops. For the first time since the pandemic, we have trained more than 1,000 people, with almost 70% of them being brand new to the ministry. Praise the Lord that our workshops continue to be one of the best ways to engage new people in God’s Word across the country.
Financially, this has been a challenging year for the ministry, but we know the Lord will provide everything we need to accomplish His work. We are witnessing record inflation. As the cost of groceries, gas and pretty much everything in Canada has increased, we have seen our donations decline by 32% among our E-Team members. Our E-Team is the significant driver of our yearly giving (see November’s In Context for more stats.)
On this Giving Tuesday (Nov 28), would you ask the Lord about supporting Precept Canada?
Your gifts will be used to keep our training workshops free, which equips future leaders and supports the growth of Precept Ministries in Canada.
Our goal this year is to raise $40,000 on Giving Tuesday! For every gift of $25 you cover the cost of one person’s training fees. We are praying that God will send one thousand and six hundred people to our workshops in 2024. Please be in prayer about if and how much the Lord would have you donate this Giving Tuesday (Nov 28).
