The Revelation of Jesus Christ given by God to His Son Jesus who then passed the message on to an angel and then John. John’s role was to write what he sees and pass it on to the churches in Asia. The Book of Revelation opens with an amazing description with the description of one like the son of man standing in the midst of seven golden lampstands. These seven lampstands represent the seven churches in Asia. Seven unique messages filled with encouragement, reproofs and promises for those who overcome. Do these messages apply to us today or were they specifically for these churches?
